HTMLpresenter Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
What we collect
HTMLpresenter does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The extension runs entirely on your device.
Local storage
HTMLpresenter uses Chrome's local storage APIs to save:
- Theme preference (dark/light) via chrome.storage.local. Persists across sessions, stored only on your device.
- Temporary presentation state via chrome.storage.session: current slide position and live edits to speaker notes within a session. Automatically cleared when you close Chrome. Used for session recovery (e.g. accidentally closed presenter window).
This data never leaves your device.
Permissions explained
- storage — to save theme preference and session state locally
- activeTab — to detect slide structure when you activate presenter mode
- downloads — reserved for future export functionality
Third-party services
None. The extension makes no network requests. No analytics, no tracking, no external servers.
User data sharing
We do not share any user data with anyone, because we do not collect any.
Changes to this policy
If our data handling changes, we will update this policy and notify users through the Chrome Web Store release notes.
